Nephrologist
Kathy K. Lee-Son, MD, MHSc, FRCPCMy favorite thing about my job is getting to meet children and their families. I love to hear directly from the children. I invite them to become a part of the conversation I have with their parents. The children help make decisions about their care. Many people ask me why I moved all the way from Vancouver. I chose to work at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics because our team works together like a true family. Between the doctors, nurses, medical assistants, and research assistants, we support each other without hesitation, so that we can provide excellent care. We are always learning and growing.
