Kelly Pelzel
Clinical Psychologist
My interests are in infant and early childhood mental health, parent-mediated interventions, early detection of autism spectrum disorder, and interventions for young children with autism. Mental health plays a big role in everyone’s wellbeing, even for babies, toddlers, and preschoolers. Infant and early childhood mental health refers to the social and emotional abilities of children 5 and under, particularly in the context of their relationships to caregivers. It is important that these first relationships are trusting and caring. Early relationships provide a base for later development.
