Joyce Goins-Fernandez, PhD, HSPP

Clinical Psychologist
Joyce Goins-Fernandez, PhD, HSPPMy favorite thing about my job is the interactions and connections I make with patients and their families. I joined University of Iowa because I am interested in working with diverse populations. I knew that families from all over Iowa come to UI Stead Family Children's Hospital for treatment. I also knew a lot of great people worked here. I like working in the Attention and Learning Disorders Clinic because I love working with children. I like being able to connect the pieces of the puzzle for families, as well as discover any missing pieces and help families find solutions for best helping their children. UI Stead Family Children's Hospital is special because 'Changing Medicine, Changing Kids' Lives' is more than a tag line. The doctors that work here are passionate about making a positive difference in children's and families lives.
